SOUTH BEND, Ind. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's track and field team rounded out its regular season slate at the Alex Wilson Invite Saturday, Feb. 17 in South Bend, Ind.

As the lone Eastern representatives at the meet, the 4x400 relay team made up of redshirt senior Tyler Brown (Findlay, Ohio-Findlay), junior Tyler Underwood (Clinton, Mich.-Clinton), sophomore Tyler Johnson (Dayton, Ohio-Stivers School for the Arts) and freshman Owen Richardson (Basingstoke, England) ran strong to a finishing time of 3:08.06 to set a new EMU all-time record in the event. The performance earned them third place in the meet and put them into first place for the Mid-American Conference, however, their time lands just outside the bubble for qualifying to the national championship race.

The Eagles will head to Cleveland, Ohio next weekend with their eyes set on another conference title. The meet will extend over two days, beginning Friday, Feb. 23.
