Hope - Women's Track & Field First In Two Events, Places Fourth At Windy City Invite

The Hope College women's track & field team won two events en route to a fourth-place finish at the University of Chicago Windy City Invitational on Saturday.
The Flying Dutch totaled 73 points for their finish in the 10-team event. Host Chicago took first with 219.5 points.
Senior Rachael Webb of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grandville HS), pictured, won the 800 meters with a time of 2 minutes, 18.47 seconds.
Hope also recorded the top distance medley run as senior Alexis Guttilla of St. Charles, Illinois (Westminster Christian), freshman Emily Sinclair of Grandville, Michigan (Grandville), sophomore Emily Jackson of Grayling, Michigan (Grayling), and sophomore Breanna VanLaan of Lowell, Michigan (Lowell) posted a time of 13:22.76.
Senior Alison Rich of Haslett, Michigan (Haslett) was runner-up in the indoor pentathlon with a score of 2,875 points.
Junior Emily Hamilton of Naperville, Illinois (North) came in third in the 3,000 meters at 10:31.97. Junior Avery Lowe of North Muskegon, Michigan (North Muskegon) was sixth at 10:42.08.
The Flying Dutch had four runners score in the 5,000 meters: freshman Claire Muckian of St. Charles, Illinois (East) in third at 19:42.60, freshman Nicole Prihoda of Portage, Michigan (Central) in fourth at 19:52.18, junior Alicia Bostwick of Zionsville, Indiana (Zionsville) in fifth at 19:55.71, and freshman Brooke Truszkowski in seventh at 20:03.19.
Senior Rachel Satkiewicz of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan (Seaholm) came in fourth in the 400 meters with a run fo 1:01.77.
Senior Haley Fischman of Grand Ledge, Michigan (Lansing Catholic Central) finished fourth in the weight throw with a top toss of 13.45 meters (42 feet, 2 inches).
Sophomore Addyson Gerig of Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa) was fifth in the high jump after clearing 1.53 meters (5 feet).
