ELSAH, Ill. – Allison Snyder completed her collegiate cross country career with a run in the NCAA Division III Championships Saturday afternoon.

The Albion College senior who prepped at Jackson County Western High School completed her 6K run in 22:44.70. She finished 168th in the field of 279 runners.

"The strategy was to be conservative and gradually work her way up in the race," Albion Coach Derick Lawrence said. "The weather took a drastic turn with the wind making for cold conditions. She did a great job of moving up and that showed at each of the mile splits."

Snyder was running 201st after completing the first mile in 6:10.90, and she moved up 31 places to 179th when she completed the second mile.

"Allison is a fighter and she gave it her all today," Lawrence said. "She has really inspired the women's team this year."
