DEXTER, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — The Eastern Michigan University men's cross country team finished out its 2017 regular season with the EMU Fall Classic Friday, Oct. 20, in Dexter, Mich.

EMU raced nine harriers in the event, placing four within the top-50. Freshman Zachary Young (Marion, Ill.-Marion) led the way for the Eagles, finishing 22nd in 16:02.3. Young had a strong freshman regular season, putting together team-best performances in three meets, as well as the team's second best performance in the Spartan Invitational. Freshmen Phoenix Myers (Wattsburg, Pa.-Seneca), Donovan Myers (Wattsburg, Pa.-Seneca), and Solomon Costa (Gahanna, Ohio-Gahanna Lincoln) rounded out Eastern's runners inside the top-50 at No. 32, No. 38, and No. 41.

The Green and White will now turn its attention to the Mid-American Conference Championship, which will take place Saturday, Oct. 28, in Oxford Ohio. John Goodridge and his squad look to capture their eighth consecutive conference title. They will look to duplicate their performance in last year's conference race, as they set a MAC record, finishing in 1-2-3-4-5 fashion en route to claiming their 21st conference championship in program history.

The MAC Championship is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Links to live results can be found on the men's cross country page on EMUEagles.com.
