Davenport - Panthers have successful meet at Wisconsin-Parkside

KENOSHA, Wis. - The cross country squads at Davenport ran on Saturday at the Wisconsin-Parkside Lucian Rosa Open on the lakeshore of Lake Michigan. The women's team finished sixth out of 10 non-Division I teams with a team score of 129. The men's team finished fourth out of 10 non-Division I teams with a team score of 90.



It was a banner meet for the top three women's finishers as they all broke the school record in the 6K race. Freshman Andrea Messing crossed first for the Panthers in 37th place with a time of 24:41.1. Sophomore Stephanie Schaub placed 41st with a time of 24:48.3. Junior Olivia Bordewyk was right on her heels in 42nd place with a time of 24:48.6. Laine Switzer finished 47th (25.15.9) to round out the top four finishers for the ladies.



Sophomore Thomas VanSlembrouck had a fantastic 8K race placing fourth with a time of 26:51.4. Cam Bredice placed 16th with a time of 27:13.6. Junior Adam Maxwell placed 21st (27:26.1) and freshman Nate Passorelli placed 30th (27:47.3) to round out the top four finishers for the men.
