Hope - Men's Cross Country Finishes 7th at Ohio Wesleyan

Senior Jacob Jansen of Johnston, Iowa (Johnston HS) topped the Hope College men's cross country team at the Ohio Wesleyan Invitational on Saturday by posting a 52nd-place time of 27 minutes, 14.7 seconds.



The Flying Dutchmen finished with 267 points for seventh place at the 18-team event.



Senior Benjamin Pederson of Mount Prospect, Illinois (Mount Prospect) came in 63rd at 27:25.7.



Sophomore Brenden Jones of Holland, Michigan (Black River), pictured, placed 78th at 27:45.3.



Junior Ryan Holman of Holmen, Wisconsin (Holmen) took 82nd at 27:49.5.



Junior Nicholai Shaw of Allendale, Michigan (Homeschool) rounded out Hope's scoring in 85th place at 27:53.1.



Others in the Flying Dutchmen's top seven were Junior Brett Slayton of Holland, Michigan (Hamilton) in 86th at 27:54.9 and freshman Ty Hergenrender of Davison, Michigan (Goodrich) in 95th at 28:07.5.
