Calvin Women's Cross Country Development Squad Placed Fourth at Vanderbilt Invitational

HOLLAND, Mich. - The Calvin women's cross country development squad competed at the Hope College Vanderbilt Invitational on Saturday and placed fourth with a team score of 100 points.



Freshman Tessa Van De Walker (Zeeland, Mich./Holland Christian HS) was 12th in 20:31 followed by freshman Taylor Ten Pas (Lynden, Wash./Lynden Christian HS) in 13th (20:32).



Freshman Angeline Needs (Peru, Il./Saint Bede Academy) also cracked the top 20, placing 18th in a time of 21:08. Rounding out Calvin's finishers were sophomore Lindy Anderson (Milan, Mich./Milan HS) in 22:24 and freshman Kelli Laube (Caledonia, Mich./Caledonia HS) in 29th (22:49).



Saturday's 5K competition was held at the Ridge Point Community Church course. Host Hope took first place with a team score of 21 points.



Emily Hamilton of Hope took first place individually with a time of 18:33.
