Crim Welcomes Back 2016 Winner Dathan Ritzenhein, Announces Special Prize Purse for Michigan Runners

41st HAP Crim Festival of Races Welcomes Back 2016 Winner Dathan Ritzenhein
as Well as Newcomer Noah Droddy and the Return of a Prize Purse

(FLINT, MI) – The 2017 HAP Crim Festival of Races is excited to welcome back the winner of the 40th Crim 10 mile race, Michigander Dathan Ritzenhein and welcome for the first time, up and coming runner Noah Droddy.

Like Ritz and Droddy, Flint is no stranger to determination, tenacity in the face of challenge and surprising the world.

"In some ways I feel like we've been riding a wave of momentum since last year's 40th Crim," said Andrew Younger, Race Director.

"With historic attendance and the positive messages that flowed from throughout our community, we showed the world that Flint is indeed alive and well, and is a wonderful, healthy community - not just on Race Day, but all year long!"

In addition, the prize purse that was diverted to scholarship funds in 2017 returns this year for race winners, including a special prize purse for Michigan participants.

"In the spirit of truly moving forward, we're not just going back to what we've done in the past. I'm pleased to announce that a significant prize purse will be offered specifically for Michigan residents," said Younger.

The Crim will continue with its commitment to provide a unique and health celebration for runners and walkers of all skill level.

With unique race medals, a new 10-mile course route, entertainment along the route, water stations at every mile and, as always, a collectable race shirt, this year’s Crim race promises to be an unforgettable experience.
