RALEIGH, N.C. — Three Wildcats posted NCAA provisional marks at the Raleigh Relays, the Northern Michigan track & field team's first event of the outdoor season.

In the discus throw, Samanthia Johnson (152-11) and Jasmine Williams (150-8) both recorded provisional marks, placing ninth and 10th respectively.

Ine Mylle took ninth in the triple jump with a provisional distance of 38-9.

"The group of athletes and coaches that represented Northern Michigan at this high-level meet had some great results to start off the outdoor season," said head coach Jenny Ryan. "We are excited to compete next week with the full team and continue that success."

Hosted by North Carolina State University, the Raleigh Relays is one of the biggest track meets on the East Coast. It featured 2,500 individual and relay entries from 100 NCAA Division I and II programs, as well as professional athletes and high school competitors.

The Wildcats next compete at the Viking Olympics on March 31 to April 1.
