Aquinas Women - Saints place second at GRCC Raider Invational

The women's cross country team placed 2nd out of nine schools at the inaugural GRCC Raider Invitational. The meet was contested on the grounds of Riverside Park in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Siena Heights University won the meet with 31 points. The women, who finished with 55 points, had a very solid outing with their top nine taking the weekend off from racing. Aly Schwartz (FR/Caledonia, Mich.) led the Saints across the finish line as she paced Aquinas with an 5th place finish (19:36). The TK connection of Janie Noah (FR/Middleville, Mich.) (10th - 19:48) and Tannah Adgate (FR/Wayland, Mich.) (11th - 19:50) both broke 20 minutes on the day, while Megan Huettner (JR/Muskegon, Mich.) (17th - 20:10) and Ellen Hackett (SR/Grand Rapids, Mich.) (18th - 20:14) rounded out the scoring in the 85 person field. The Saints will return to the course in two weeks when they take part in the Bethel College Invitational at St. Patricks Park in South Bend.
