NMU - Three Wildcats Post Top-Five Finishes at GVSU Big Meet

ALLENDALE, Mich. — Northern Michigan's Michelle Juergen, Kameron Burmeister and Kieren Becker finished in the top five in their respective events at the GVSU Big Meet Saturday.



Juergen claimed a third-place finish in the long jump with a distance of 17-11.5.



Burmeister finished fourth in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10:12.75 while Becker took fifth in the mile after crossing the line in 5:08.22. More than 50 athletes competed in each of their events.



The Wildcat 4x400 relay team of Danielle Brzezinski, Paige Dutcher, Becker and Shayla Huebner timed in at 3:59.88 to take sixth in a field of 20.



"We had a great meet today against top-level competition," head coach Jenny Ryan said. "The team came out of this meet with a lot of personal records and looks prepared for the upcoming GLIAC championship meet."
