For the second week in a row, Chloe Ohlgren set a school record.
Already the best triple jumper in school history, Ohlgren beat her own record mark, set just one week ago, at this weekend's Dan Gladstein Invitational at Indiana University. Friday night, she cleared 11,64 meters, good for 10th place at the Division I-heavy meet.
Seniors Kristina Galat and Emily Oren are already school record-holders, and though they didn't break any marks this weekend, they still competed well. Galat took third in the "fast" running of the 3000 meters with a time of 9:30.42. Oren was sixth in the mile, clocking in at 4:51.53.
Sophomore Hannah McIntyre won the open mile at 9:46.58.
Dana Newell was sixth in the weight throw with a mark of 17.48 meters, and junior Alexandra Whitford was sixth in the pole vault, clearing 3.56 meters.
Saturday's action was highlighted by the performance of the 4x400 relay team, who took fifth with a time of 3:50.42, just two seconds off the school record. The foursome of Corinne Zehner, Victoria Wichman, Emily Guy and Allison Duber teamed up for the excellent time.
Hannah Watts was solid in the 800 as well, placing third with a time of 2:15.47.
UP NEXT: Hillsdale has next weekend off in preparation for the wide track classic, which it will host Feb. 5-6.
