QUOTE OF THE RACE
"Ben (Kendell) had another tremendous race. He moved up and got in range of All-Regional, which was the ultimate goal. It was a great finish to a great year." -Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Guy Murray '89
KENDELL'S BIG FINISH
Ben Kendell sure knows how to end a season. After recording All-Horizon League First Team honors for the second-straight season, Kendell nearly registered All-Region accolades.
His time of 31:34 set a PR by 19 seconds of the 31:53 he ran at last year's NCAA Great Lakes Regional.
It was also the sixth best time in school history surpassing his own run for sixth.
The 35th-place finish is the second highest in school history behind only Titan Hall-Of-Famer Ken Dubois' finish of 23rd in 1985.
GREAT SENIOR CLASS
The race was the last in cross country for seniors Colin Creagh, Derek Gielarowski and Ryan Hofsess.
All three runners earned All-Horizon League accolades in their career.
Creagh was First Team last season claiming runner-up, while Gielarowsk was a two-time Second Team honoree. Hofsess was also First Team All-League in 2013.
All three runners were part of the school's first-ever Horizon League Championships in 2013 and 2014.
NO. 22 FOR CREAGH
Senior Colin Creagh became the 22nd harrier in school history to run in four NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championships.
The Titans were 22nd at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship totaling 585 points, fourth in the HL behind Oakland (303), Youngstown State (434) and Milwaukee (536).
"We got out and battled and gave our best as we had hopes of matching our point total from last year. It was a tough way to end the careers for Colin (Creagh) and Derek (Gielarowski), but they accomplished a lot as a Titan." -Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Guy Murray '89
