Huge weekend of HS, College and Pro Indoor Track - How you can follow!

By RunMichigan.com staff,

It's not often that pretty much everything in the world of indoor track falls on the same weekend, but this is exactly one of those special weekends! Indoor track and field championship meets will be taking place across the state and country and featuring some of Michigan's best athletes.

First off, at the high school level, the 2015 MITS (Michigan Indoor Track Series) will be holding its state meet on Saturday, February 28th at Bowen Field House on the campus of Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti.

Some of Michigan's best high school track athletes have also risen to the top of the national rankings. Runners from Michigan who are currently ranked #1 in the USA for indoor track are Jaron Flournoy of Westland (Boys' 200 Meters), Grant Fisher of Grand Blanc (Boys' Mile), Ersula Farrow of Oak Park (Girls' 800) and Sarah Kettel of Brighton (Girls' 3200).

Other top high school track athletes from Michigan who have gained national attention from their recent performances include Donovan Brazier of Grand Rapids, Logan Wetzel of Saline, Anna Jefferson of Oak Park, Sekayi Bracey of East Kentwood, Audrey Belf of Bloomfield Hills and Skyler Bowden of Saline.

RunMichigan.com will be onsite at EMU for all the MITS action. Check back after the meet for interviews with event champions, 100's of great action photos from the meet and full results.

RunMichigan.com will also be providing photo coverage from the 2015 GLIAC Indoor T&F Championships, held this year at Saginaw Valley State University. Some of the country's top NCAA II track and field programs come from Michigan and will be in action at the GLIAC meet.

Meanwhile, Michigan's NCAA Division One schools will also be in action at their respective conference championships. The Big Ten Indoor meet is this weekend at the SPIRE track in Geneva, Ohio, the Mid American Conference Meet will be held at Central Michigan University and the Horizon League Meet will be taking place at Youngstown State University in Ohio.

On the pro/post college level, the USATF Indoor T&F Championships take place in Boston.
