Mt. Brighton site of new 5K obstacle race

Provided by Brighton Rotary

Mt. Brighton, the Michigan ski park purchased last year by Vail, will be the site of a new, unique 5K obstacle run that takes full advantage of the terrain of both the ski hills and the adjacent golf course. The Top of the Mountain Dash of Crash is Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Mt. Brighton, located a mile off Exit 145 on I-96 in Brighton. The inaugural event, a fund-raiser for the Brighton Rotary, also includes a one-mile bunny hill fun run. Spectators will be able to ride a chair lift to the top of the mountain to view most of the obstacles, including: the Snow Gun Slalom, Tired Yet, Climbing Wall, Tube Bridge and the Tunnel. There will be live music, food and beverage tents, multiple waves (including a competitive wave) and plenty of parking. Early-bird cost is $45 with a VIP package of $100.
