Hillsdale - Men's Cross Country Team Finishes 3rd at Southern Indiana

Competing for the first time since Oct. 4, the Hillsdale College men's cross country team competed at the Southern Indiana Regional Preview today with strong times.



The Chargers, ranked 11th in the nation, finished third at the meet with 80 points. The host Screaming Eagles won the meet with 33 points, followed closely by Malone who had 36.



Taking 10th out of 118 athletes, senior Luke Hickman finished with a time of 25:04.2. Senior John Butler ran a time of 25:08.9, taking 13th.



Senior Matthew Perkins finished 18th with a time of 25:21.6. Joseph Newcomb took 20th with at time of 25:24.5.



Sophomore Caleb Gatchell finished with a time of 25:44.3. Freshman Anthony Wondaal finished with a time of 26:23.5. Freshman Sam Phillips ran a time of 26:36.7.



The Chargers will compete again at the GLIAC Championship Nov. 8 at Tiffin, Ohio.
