LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Serena San Cartier set a new Oakland record in the 100m hurdles on Friday with a time of 13.91 in the preliminary rounds at the Louisville Twilight Classic. She would end the day with a third-place finish in the finals with a time of 14.14. San Cartier and two fellow OU athletes traveled to the meet in hopes of earning NCAA Preliminary qualifying marks.

"I am so glad we made this trip," said head coach Paul Rice. "It was a great experience for these athletes. The highlight of today was a huge personal record and shattering of our school record by Serena (San Cartier) in the hurdle prelims, running 13.91. She looked awesome today and it was a lot of fun to watch! I know C.J. (Gozdor) and Chris (Scott) wanted more out of today, but those two have a lot to be proud of based on what they accomplished this year. Overall, we have a lot to look forward to next year, but for now, everyone gets some rest and takes time to recharge before we get into our summer base training and we start the cycle again."

Chris Scott, the Horizon League Champion in the 800m run, earned a third-place time of 1:55.46 at the meet. Teammate C.J. Gozdor competed in the high jump and accomplished a height of 6 feet, 6.25 inches.
