The quartet, which broke the EMU record yesterday in the preliminary heat at 40.04 seconds, took sixth with a mark of 39.98. Bolton, Brown, and Elam later teamed up with Mason Waynes (Kenosha, Wisc.-Bradford) in the 4x400m relay, clocking in at 3:07.97 to take seventh.
Five athletes competed on the field at the Drake Relays to complete the slate in Iowa. EMU record holder Donald Scott (Apopka, Fla.-Apopka) took fourth in the triple jump, leaping 15.82 meters/51 feet 11.00-inches to pace freshman Javion Lee (Clinton, Miss.-Clinton), who took 10th with a mark of 14.48 meters/47 feet 6.25-inches.
