Laurens Tenkate of Calvin Christian Receives National High School Coach of the Year Honor

laurens_tenkate.jpgThe National High School Coaches Association is proud to announce Laurens TenKate, National Cross Country Coach of the Year.

After a dominating win at the MSU Spartan Invitational against all top Michigan teams, the first Division III team to accomplish the feat, Coach TenKate led Calvin Christian High School of Grandville, Michigan boys cross country team to back-to-back Michigan Division III State Championship and NHSCA Small School National Team Championship.

The NHSCA Small School National Team Championship was awarded to the top boys cross country team with a total enrollment less than 400 students. A mentor Coach TenKate seeks to inspire the whole person.
