Kona Running Company, the organizer of the Solstice Run and Wicked Halloween Run officially announced today the establishment of the inaugural ShamRock ‘n’ Roll Run offering 10K, 5K & Mile events to be held on Sunday, March 18^th at 8:15 am in historic downtown Plymouth, MI.

There will be Costume Contest, live onstage Piazza Dance performances to the Huey Lewis & the News hit song “The Heart of Rock & Roll” at the start-line, fast course routes and a live Rock n Roll Concert by The Remix Band in a heated enclosed circus tent at the finish-line in Kellogg Park!

All participants receive a cool “Leslie Jordan” short-sleeve tech shirt (if registered before 3/14/2012). All 10K finishers receive medals and the 10K event is limited to first 1,300 registrations and then sold out & closed. There are age group awards in the 10K and 5K events.

Race Director & Founder, Alan Whitehead stated “This race event will offer all the fun and festive activities to celebrate the St Patrick’s Day weekend with a Rock n Roll music theme for our participants to enjoy while in downtown Plymouth! There will be some dancing in the streets!”
