BROOKLYN — Breckenridge sophomore Kirsten Olling grabbed her second straight individual state title Saturday, winning the meet with a time of 18:02.7, which was more than 37 seconds better than the second-place finisher. Olling has yet to drop a race in her already illustrious cross country career. Classmate Dominique Adams earned all-state honors for the second straight season, finishing in 22nd at 19:55.3. The Huskies finished in seventh as a team.

Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy validated its second straight trip to the state finals, finishing in 23rd. Brooke Kemerer finished in 81st at 21:15.9, Sharah Defoe finished 140th at 22:20.7, Sarah Wallace placed 157th at 22:40.0, Meaghan Penning crossed in 23:15.6 and Kayla Eisenlord finished in 23:55.2 for the Dragons. Lillian Moncman and Hope Kemerer rounded out the top seven for SASA.

Michigan Lutheran Seminary freshman Sophia Klingbeil earned 126th place with a time of 22:04.5.

Beal City freshman Emily Steffke earned all-state honors as well, finishing in 26th.
