1) CEDAR SPRINGS – Freshman phenom Kenzie Weiler set a new school record and a Benzie Central course record (17:13), while sister Katie was regional runner-up.
2) EAST GRAND RAPIDS – Qualified for state for a ninth consecutive season with “best race of the year” at Allendale regional.
3) HUDSONVILLE – Took four of the top 12 spots at regional, with the Berends sisters running 3-6-9 in Allendale.
4) ROCKFORD – Senior Taylor Manett won the Division 1 regional title (17:29) for the seventh-ranked Rams.
5) G.R. CHRISTIAN – Julia Bos has Eagles flying just below the radar in Division 2, behind top-ranked Cedar and East GR.
6) GRAND HAVEN – The three O-K Red co-champs met again at regionals, separated by a mere three points: Hudsonville (57), Rockford (59), Grand Haven (60).
7) FOREST HILLS NORTHERN – Gave Cedar Springs a real scare at O-K Gold conference meet, coming up just one point shy.
8) SOUTH CHRISTIAN – Finished third in one of the toughest regionals in the state, after winning O-K Gold crown a week earlier.
9) CALEDONIA -- Runner-up to Grand Ledge at Portage regional.
10) FOREST HILLS EASTERN – Clara Cullen ran a “phenomenal race” to win Carson City regional, with two freshmen teammates helping Hawks to state.
