The race field hit 1,000 for the 2nd Just Zoo it! 5K run. Former UofM runner Ian Forsyth of Ann Arbor won in a time of 14:56. This broke the race record that was set last year by another UofM runner, Dave Garnet of Royal Oak (old record 15:17). It also broke the course record 15:08 that was set by Rick Brauer in 1994.

Donna Matthews won the woman's race in 18:14. This broke Chrissy Garst's19:12 record that was set a year ago. The course record of 16:40 was set by Lisa Weidenbach in the Race For The Cure. Chuck Block running in the Masters Division (40 & Older) missed tying the Master record by one second. His 16:18 clocking just fell short of Stan Ford's 16:17 record.
