Imlay City Blueberry Stomp

The Imlay City Parks & Recreation Commission would like to announce the date of its annual 5K run/walk, which will take place on Saturday, August 5th, 2006. The 5-kilometer course will trek through the picturesque and shady, tree-lined streets of the residential and commercial districts of the city. The event is slated for a 9:00 A.M. start time and all participants must be registered previous to the start of the race. Participants can register at Imlay City Hall at 150 North Main Street, Imlay City, MI (810) 724-2135 for a cost of $15 by Friday, July 21st or for $20 thereafter. This cost will include a tee shirt for each runner. All participants are encouraged to register as soon as possible. Don’t forget that proceeds from the Blueberry Stomp will be used for a great cause, the Parks and Recreation Department. This department is responsible for conducting recreational and cultural activities that will employ the leisure time of people in a constructive and wholesome manner. “The Imlay City Parks and Recreation Commission is excited to sponsor the 2006 Blueberry Stomp 5K Run/Walk. Being held the same weekend as the Blueberry Festival, the streets will be filled with activity. We plan to incorporate the recently developed Polly Ann Trail in this year’s race.
