The Toronto Marathon

The 10th annual Toronto Marathon will run through the streets of Toronto on Sunday October 17th, 2004. Full Marathon:9am. Half Marathon:8:30am. 5k: 8:30am. Honda Corporate Challenge: 9:20am. -Began in 1995 as a grass roots event with approx. 1,400 participants -Meets all International standards and accreditation -Current records are: Open Male 2:15:17 and Open Female 2:37:52 -Boston qualifier -9,000+ participants in 4 combined events from over 30 countries -150 teams in the Honda Relay -60,000+ spectators to line the route, 1000+ volunteers make it happen -Since 1995, The Toronto Marathon formerly known as the Canadian International Marathon has raised over $3.5 million for our affliated charities. Princess Margaret Hospital, MS, Hemophilia, The Santa Claus Fund, and The Toronto Foundation for Student Success. -Generates over $15 million in revenue for local economy.
