  Extreme running on insane terrain: Hell, Michigan. A 100K five-person team relay and a 50-mile and 50K individual ultra race though woods, rocks, brush, streams, swamps, and lots of dirt. Last year, the team event comprised of 375 teams, and sold out in one hour, eight months in advance of the race! Add ultra runners for more than 2500 runners! Trail Runner Magazine selected Dances with Dirt as one of its "Dirty Dozen", which means it's one of the 12 most grueling trail races in the US... and the runners love it!
