  The Passion for Life 5K Run/Walk benefits U of M C. S. Mott Children’s Hospital and the Walled Lake Central Track and Field program. The decision to support Mott Children’s Hospital arose when a Walled Lake educator and coach recently gave birth to a daughter with heart complications. The research and care provided by children’s hospitals around the nation must be supported. This event will be a great opportunity to involve the community in the healthy exercise of running/walking while supporting the temporary home that C. S. Mott is to so many families seeking hope, reassurance, and most importantly, good health for their children. AGE GROUPS (top 3 in each age group) (for both males and females) · OVERALL CHAMPION · MASTERS CHAMPION (40+) · 14 years of age and younger · 15-19 years of age · 20-24 years of age · 25-29 years of age · 30-34 years of age · 35-39 years of age · 40-44 years of age · 45-49 years of age · 50-54 years of age · 55-59 years of age · 60+ years of age. ALL CHILDREN 12 AND YOUNGER REGISTERED IN EITHER RACE WILL RECEIVE FINISHING MEDALS!! Raffle: By registering in the 5K Run/Walk, you are automatically entered to WIN a VIKING POP-UP RV donated by Walt Michal’s RV Superstore to WLC Track and Field. SOMEONE WILL WIN THIS RV!!!!!! (Excludes tax, title, and plate fee) This event will be timed using the ChampionChip Timing System provided by Great Lakes ChampionChip, Inc. Each person will be assigned a timing chip that must be worn during the race and returned at the end of the race. Results will be available at the conclusion of the race and online at www.greatlakeschampionchip.com.
