5th Annual IDIDARUN
6:30 PM January 12th 2013
Linden High School, Linden Michigan
On a cold winter’s night plan on coming out to run the 5th annual IDIDARUN, an 8 mile race with a relay option. The race is run at night and its part road and part snowy (hopefully) trail. Since it is run at night a headlight is required so you can see and we can see you, and since that weekend will be a “New”moon it is going to be dark. The course is entirely run on Linden School grounds away from traffic.
You can either enter the 8 miler or choose a fast friend and do a relay. The course is made up of 4 – 2 mile loops, relays exchange after 4 miles. 8 miler age groups are standard, relays go by combined age in 10 year blocks, and we have male, female and co-ed relay awards.
Over the last 5 years runners and fans alike have raved about the warm homemade soups, chili’s and stews for after the race for you and the loved ones you bring made by our very supportive cross country parents. This race has no big name sponsor, just these parents that come out and donate their time and wonderful cooking skills.
We go old school with registration so no on-line (you don’t have to pay those annoying fees), it’s cheap at only $20 per person and there is no late fee. So either send me an e-mail and I will e-mail you an entry or just show up on race day. First 200 get their choice of race swag, after that you get what’s left over from other years; we had a tad over 200 racers last year. We DON’T do shirts; the dang sizes are too difficult to figure out.
Registration opens at 5pm, race starts at 6:30pm. It’s at Linden High School, in the lobby. The address is 7201 Silver Lake Road, in Linden
