Comments/ Race Info:

The Roseville Big Bird Run consists of a 10K, 4K and 1 mile Fun Run and attracts runners of all ages throughout Michigan and Windsor, Canada. This year’s event will be the 34th Annual Big Bird Run. The Big Bird Run was established 34 years ago to promote running as a fitness activity and provide a quality running event in the Macomb County region. This is a community event coordinated by the Recreational Authority of Roseville & Eastpointe and the Roseville Police Department and has been endorsed by the Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness. Last year’s Big Bird Run had over 900 participants. The run is supported by local sponsors with the main sponsors being Petitpren Distributors, Inc. and Hanson’s Running Shops. Volunteers for the event are provided by local community service organizations.

Proceeds from the event are then distributed to the Community Service Organizations who provide volunteers which include the Roseville Optimist Club, Roseville/Warren Kiwanis Club, Roseville Handicapped Association, RHS Band Boosters, Lions Club, Roseville Caring Klowns and the Roseville Goodfellows. These groups use then use the funds from our event to assist needy families and students in the Roseville area.
