RACE DECRIPTIONS:
3 mile rec race: This is a 3 mile short course recreational race for all ages and abilites. This is a WPA sactioned race, and points will be awared. Age limit for racing is 13 and up. Awards will be given to finishing positions 1-3 male/female per class. Entry Fee per paddler $35, includes T-shirt, and Music after party.
Board Classes: SUP Surfboard 12'2" CLASS, SUP Stock 12'6" CLASS, SUP 14' CLASS
Board Types: No weight restrictions. 12'2" maximum length - surfboard style shape, minimum dimensions = nose 17" wide (12" back from nose), tail 14" wide (12" up from tail), 5" maximum thickness. 12'6" and 14' maximum length - no minimum dimensions.

6 Mile Elite points Race: This is a competitive points race with WPA sanctioning. Age limit of 18 and over. Entry Fee per racer $45, includes T-shirt, and Music after party.
Board Classes: SUP Stock 12'6" CLASS, SUP 14' CLASS
Board Types: 12'6" maximum length and 14' maximum length. No weight restriction. No minimum dimensions.

Detroit SUP Festival will feature races for all ages and skill levels.
