Join us for a run through one of the most beautiful areas of Michigan! The Port Oneida Barn to Barn Trail Run is a 5K run/walk on the Bayview Trail through the beautiful scenery of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore – a National Park just 30 miles west of Traverse City. Runners are offered a unique tour of the Port Oneida Rural Historic District which is “one of the most prized historic landscapes in the country”! The course meanders through the pastoral landscape of farmsteads from the late 1800s nestled among the hills, and along the shores of Lake Michigan.

Proceeds benefit Preserve Historic Sleeping Bear, a nonprofit partner of the Park dedicated to saving the historic structures and landscapes in Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

We’ll have beverages and good food after the run!

New this year – chip timing! We’ll be prepared to have more than one heat if necessary. Don’t let the chip timing scare away any of you fun runners.

Awards
Unique custom-made plaque awards will be given out after the race to 1st overall men and women.

Medals to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards for all age groups, male and female.
Kids Schoolhouse Dash – all participants receive ribbon and winners get a prize.

First 100 registrants receive a free microfiber running cap!

Prizes
We’ll be drawing names for some great prizes! (Be sure to fill out the form the day of the race.) You could win an early 19th century farm dinner for 8, paintings of Port Oneida farmsteads, books, harvest baskets of produce, gift certificates and much more!
