RACE INFORMATION

West Michigan’s Ultimate Multi-Terrain Runs will become more spectacular yet in their 20th runnings, with their unique simul-start, stunning trail sections added and downtown Saugatuck festival finish areas.

The signature Mt. Baldhead Challenge "long" run, now, 12 miles, start at 9 a.m. in downtown Saugatuck's waterfront Wicks Park. It will traverse waterfront streets to a "tunnel of trees" alongside Lake Michigan, wind inland miles, pass the 7-mile race start on Bliss Street, and advance to the famed Crow's Nest Trail on the Ox-Bow Art School campus to a remarkable harbor overview. Then back down to run our signature 302 steps to the crew of Mt. Baldhead (another view not to miss), down the dune through wooded trails to run alongside Lake Michigan on Oval Beach. Then inland on the brand-new Woollam Trail east to Bliss Street, then back to the Wicks Park finish.

The MBC 7-mile course will also start at 9 a.m. on Bliss Street, across the river from the long run, and follow the 12-mile course, minus the road stretch from downtown and through the Tunnel of Trees. Still amazing. Shuttles from Wicks Park will be provided).

A free "Little Feet, Big Feat" fun run for kids will take place during pre-race packet pickup Friday, Sept. 6, at 6 p.m.
